Stimulus Bill Gives Over $200,000 to Condom Research

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, otherwise known as the stimulus plan, was sold to us as a way to save the economy. Vice President Joe Biden stated that this bill saved 500,000 jobs. This is just one project funded by the stimulus bill.

Any government spending program is going to have waste. We would expect this in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, commonly known as the stimulus bill. However, President Obama and Democrat proponents of this bill were quick to say the stimulus would create jobs. Looking through the list of stimulus projects, you would have to ask how doormats create jobs.
